Sometimes I feel sensations, really deeply and i can’t shake this feeling that best I can describe as, “being occupied”. The only ways I can work through them is to find the source and remove it and stim it out ex. Flapping, kicking, etc.
[ I’m putting this post out because I would like to hear back from others in the community, would like some reassurance and anchoring through knowing I’m not alone ]
I get this all the time. I feel all jittery and scratchy inside and I have to rub or hit myself to try and make it go away. Afterwards I feel really tired. It’s like something has crawled inside me and is eating away at my brain.

What makes someone “high-functioning” anyway. Just because someone is verbal or has a high IQ does not mean they can take care of themselves, work, drive or live independently. Similarly just cause someone is non-verbal doesn’t mean they can’t.
